Swiss Artists: Studio Residency in the Arab region (Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco)

Le Cube – independent art room is very pleased to collaborate with Pro Helvetia Cairo in order to set up a program of research and creation residencies.

In this purpose, Pro Helvetia Cairo invites artists, performers, curators and researchers from Switzerland and the Arab world to apply for residences of a maximum of 3 months duration.
Thus, this is a chance for the artists to have a decentralized vision of a different cultural environment.
The aim of the residency is to find inspiration, establish networks and contemplate new projects and networks.

Selection criteria include a convincing track record, personal artistic activity above and beyond a regional level, context-related motivation, adequate foreign language skills.

In addition to workspace and accommodation, Pro Helvetia provides coaching support, cover the cost of travel, insurances and per diem expenses.
Applicants may not benefit more than three times in total from a Pro Helvetia studio residency.

For residencies taking place in 2020, applications can be submitted until 1 March 2019 via www.myprohelvetia.ch. Applications must be written in English.
