In this evening,Yassine Balbzioui screens a selection of recent videos , among which are Khalimna l’Obsession du chacal (2016), Le voyage de twin freaks (2012), Grosse tête en chute libre (2010) and The fish inside me (2010).

This meeting is an opportunity for the public to interact with the artist and exchange on his approach, research and projects.

The video night is part of  Attokoussy,  a collective project of art and research that opens a space of reflection and expression on rituals and beliefs in Morocco.

“Playing on evidences all while moving through different mediums is the engine that animates Yassine Balbzioui’s creations. It is with a Brechtian recourse to distancing, paradox and comedy that the artist works on several crossing of senses, making his spectators lose their landmarks in a labyrinth of doubts and apprehensions. In his installations, performances and oil paintings, he substitutes his passion for transforming materials and images with the use of metaphor; precisely, with the recurrent use of animal heads shaped masks.“
