As part of his solo exhibition at Le Cube – independent art room, Tarik Hamchouz invites the public to an evening of performance that nurtures and explores the problematic inherent in his work.

With his project, Tarik Hamchouz invites us to discover a numbered world, where we live, without realizing it. The artist highlights the number and presents it as the main subject and axis of our life; he is attempting to translate our limited view and convert it into numbers.

The research of Tarik Hamchouz is based on numerous points of interrogations about existence through time, the definition of identity, calculated chance and all the objects and spaces that define us.

An encrypted vision on everyday life, a vision where everything matters; and the realization of the way a mere number can define an individual, vegetation, a story, an evolution, a life.

About the artist

A graduate of the National School of Fine Arts of Casablanca in 2008, Tarik Hamchouz currently lives and works between Casablanca and Benslimane.
After the performance, the public is invited to interact with the artist about his approach and projects.
