During the day after the opening of this second version of the curators zone program, you are invited to come and interact with the curators and the artists of the exhibition Côte à Côte.

The project Côte à Côte has been made concrete by the desire to connect an archipelago of independent structures of contemporary creation, based on a series of exchanges between artists of the Souths. Therefore, this evening is the opportunity to engage in a dialogue, all together, on the manner in which art can construct other narratives about our contemporary world.

Conceived and set up by the curators Susana Moliner and Emiliana Sabiu, Côte à Côte is a project of an in situ creation, result of a collaboration between the Italian artist Matteo Rubbi and the Moroccan artist Yassine Balbzioui. This project that takes shape at Rabat as part of the curators zone, will be set, later on, at Perdaxius in Sardinia. It strives to address the social and subjective process that unfolds between these southern coastal cities.

The booklet of the exhibition contains a complete description of the project as well as two texts: “Une rencontre improbable, une complicité nécessaire” by Susanna Moliner and “L’artiste est une île ?” by Simon Njami.
